Chris Themelco / Orpheus Omega

Formed in 2008, Orpheus Omega is a 5 piece Melodic Death Metal band from Melbourne, Australia. Their formative sound was based on the early Gothenburg melodic death metal movement but has evolved over the years into a truly unique entity within and outside the Melodic Death Metal genre.

Featuring aggressive and melodic guitar work, intricate and powerful drumming, chaotic keyboard work and a varied array of vocal stylings, the album is sure to become a staple in modern Melodic Death Metal.

1st Jackson Guitar:

Japanese DK27 Dinky. I saved all of my first 8 weeks of pay from my first job to buy that guitar. And it's the reason I fell in love with Jackson in the first place.

I'm a pretty avid Movie goer/ watcher, I enjoy downtime with video games and just going out and enjoying the company of a few friends and many a beer

Fun Facts:

In primary school I started playing acoustic guitar as part of a music class and hated it. I thought it was a sucky instrument, so I spent the next 4 years learning Piano. In early high school our music class had Drums or Guitar as an option, so I went with familiarity, but when a friend showed me Metallica and I remember immediately thinking, "I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY THIS STUFF HOLY COW".

Chris also has a degree in Computer Science which he currently doesn’t use. “Well, it helped me build my computer efficiently which I've since used in my Audio Engineering career.”

The fact that I can pick up any Jackson right off the shelf and know it's going to feel great and sound amazing. Jackson guitars allow me to convert what goes on in my head to right there on the guitar with an ease and comfort I've never felt on a guitar of any other brand. Every time I pick up one of my guitars I'm immediately inspired to write and play.
